Menno Krant

Apr 8, 2004 - Apr 18, 2004

Dutch-born Menno Krant is recognized internationally as a leading artist of his genre, with his works appearing at many recognized exhibitions, including the prestigious International Outsider Art Show in New York.

At one time, living and painting out of his car, Menno had gained notoriety as a 'fringe' artist, riding the edge of societal norms. A recurring theme in Menno's work is the inclusion of his 'little characters'. Each containing their own expressions and personality, representative of the artist's own encounters on his daily travels. His curiosity coupled with an intense focus on faces and expressions, has driven Menno to produce a prolific collection of very impressive perceptions.

Transcending the visual, his pieces demonstrate a truly intelligent and incredibly sophisticated conveyance of emotion and thought.
